We had a very interesting meeting at Low Bradley in west Yorkshire. Starting off on the canal, where a dredge sampler was used to collect bivalves and other organisms from the sediment. Using pond nets to sample along vegetated edges, we found damselflies, caddisflies, bugs, beetles, molluscs and bivalves, and others. We then went on to have a look at the River Aire near Connonly. Using our pond nets we again found caddisflies, beetles and bugs. Our final stop was at a large pond cut off from the main river. Here we found more damsels, bugs, beetles, caddisflies, mollluscs and others. Some records have now been entered into iRecord and others will follow. The weather was variable, cold and rainy with hail at times, with intermittent bright sunshine. A thoroughly enjoyable and productive day.

This meeting has been postponed and will no longer take place on the 5th October as planned.
