Meet leader Derek Whiteley at Semerwater Car Park at 11am at grid reference SD921876 This is a private car park and there is a small parking charge for the day. Short walk to the YWT reserve at the south end of the lake, which is the second largest natural lake in the Yorkshire Dales (after Malham Tarn). This part of the reserve is open fen, wet underfoot so wellies are recommended. The reserve also includes a stretch of shoreline and open water. Another part of the reserve comprises three wet meadows at Marsett. We will access these from Marsett Bridge at SD903862 (roadside parking) later in the day.
