There are just under 24,000 records on the YNU's online recording website. The map shows that they're pretty well spread out across the 5 Yorkshire vice counties, with just a few gaps. The pie chart shows the taxonomic breakdown of the records, and the numbers in brackets are the proportion that have been checked by an expert. It's great to see such a high proportion of verified records for mammals, molluscs, seaweeds and many insect groups. Not such good news on plants, fungi, spiders or birds. This will be discussed at the YNU's Natural Sciences Forum meeting on the 14th March. Thank you to everyone who's submitted records, and especially to those who have been verifying them
