February was a month of contrasts. Before the storm, many resident species were pumped up and getting ready for spring as mild weather and longer days did the trick. Otters were on the move and reached the coast, even Dolphins were seen but our Arctic Buntings were going nowhere fast! Hawfinches were still maintaining numbers with impressive flocks at the Arboretum. This was all before the Beast from the East of course!
